About Me
Dorian Henry II is a museum studies scholar, cultural institution strategist, and founder of Code of the South — a consulting firm serving Black cultural institutions across the Southern United States.
A University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff alumnus, Henry brings firsthand HBCU experience to his work alongside curatorial experience at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas. As a visiting scholar, he expanded his expertise in art conservation at Yale University and the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, and deepened his practice in digital exhibition-making at the Bard Graduate Center — developing innovative approaches to presenting art and material culture across physical and virtual platforms.
He is currently completing a master's thesis on HBCU museum economic sustainability at Baylor University.
